Experience summary:

  • Former partner with IBM Global Business Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting;
  • Managed warehouse operations and engineering for Sara Lee Direct; Director of Logistics for startup of a branded footwear line with Hanes.
Project accomplishments:
  • For a specialty apparel retailer, analyzed distribution alternatives and developed a plan and business case for consolidation to a single DC leading to improved asset utilization and significant overall cost reduction
  • Developed a logistics strategy for a consumer electronics company supplying North America from a wide variety of global source points.  The strategy improved container utilization on inbound shipments, consolidated locations and increased all-water routing of containers for serving the eastern U.S. marketplace
  • Implemented a Transportation Management System (TMS) package for a major global beverage producer.  The solution provided cross-division visibility for planning and execution of customer shipments.  Cost savings was achieved through optimized loading, proper carrier selection and identification of continuous move opportunities.
  • For a leading national electrical supply distributor, developed a logistics strategy and implementation roadmap.  Utilized network modeling tools to develop a logistics network design involving hub distribution centers and redeployment of inventory.  Assisted with implementation of the recommended strategy including organization redesign, pilot distribution center startup, facility layout, inventory management process changes, transportation infrastructure set up and WMS implementation.
  • Led a supply chain improvement program for a division of a major media & entertainment company that included supply chain network redesign, upgrades to forecasting systems and processes and enhancements to planning and scheduling processes/systems.
  • Conducted product flow modeling for multiple clients including a large home improvement retailer, and industrial products distributor and a regional department store chain.  Flow modeling helped these clients utilize distribution center, cross dock and direct-store-delivery modes to optimize inventory turnover, in-stock levels and overall logistics cost.
